The Network, in collaboration with Center of Excellence for Biomedical and Public Health Informatics (BIOPHICS), launched DataFax as the new clinical trial database management system on November 7th, 2008. Two strong features of DataFax are the multiple ways of data acquisition method and its functional capacity and cost effectiveness across geographical differences. As the Network has various clinical site locations, DataFax integrates the use of internet and regular phone lines as the data transfer channels which could bring down the cost of data transmission dramatically.
